Houses for Homeless is a project that started in Athens in 2016 by Evdokia Demetriou, who had the vision to shelter homeless people all around the world. We have invented a way to build temporary shelters made out of re-used plastic that have no cost. They are built by stacking plastic bottles and weaving them with re-used fabrics or strips of plastic bags. It is an easy technique that anyone can easily learn! Through workshops we want to spread this sheltering technique in order for people from all around the world to learn a way to shelter themselves or help shelter other people. The Project was tested in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2017 were we finalized the shelter design and donated it to an impoverished community.
