The sludge is heated until it boils, and water exits the dryer as steam. At this temperature, pathogens cannot survive. While the water is in the vapor phase, it is filtered to remove particles. This bio-safe steam is taken and condensed to water before putting it through water treatment. The Omni Processor's water treatment adjusts the pH, and uses multiple filters to ensure safe, clear, great tasting water. The water is indistinguishable from bottled water. The machine can produce up to 86,000 liters of clean drinking water by processing just over 92 cubic meters of sludge per day. In places without good waste treatment plants, it could be a real game-changer.
